This car belongs to and is driven by Bill Elliott, more commonly known by his nickname, which is "Million Dollar Bill." This is because during the 1985 season, he won a record 11 races and the inaugural Winston Million, a $1 million bonus from R.J. Reynolds for winning the Daytona 500, the Winston 500 at Talladega, and the Southern 500 at Darlington in the same season. Bill Elliott was a busy driver that year!

Ricky Rudd joined the Wood Brothers Racing team at the end of the 2002 season. One of NASCAR’s 50 greatest drivers, Rudd becomes the 18th from that list to race for the legendary Stuart / Virginia team.
