*If You Are Interested in attending a U.S. Service Acedemy, mark your calenders for April 15th from 5-8 pm at Mission Prep High School in San Luis Obispo. Congress woman Lois Capps and Academy representative will be presenting information about the application process and academy life.
*DUE to SBAC testing the library will be closed the week of April 22nd through the 25th. This includes in the morning BEFORE school.
*Champion Robotics Team Last month the Greyhound Robotics Team, the Greybots, competed in the Central Valley Region Robotics Competition in Madera, California. They competed with 44 other teams. Some of these teams are sponsored, mentored, and provided with facilities by big organizations such as NASA and Google. The Greybots dominated and took 1st place at the event. This means that they will go on the WorldChampionships in St. Louis during the third week in April! Our Greybots are an amazing group of students. They work tirelessly on their projects over 24 hours every week, after school and on weekends. Check out their website at www.greybots.com.
* 1st Place Central Coast Jazz Festival The 31st Annual Central Coast Jazz Festival washeld at Cuesta College in March. This event was attended by high school jazz bands from throughout the county and several adjacent counties. Students were judged, critiqued, and mentored by high school and Cuesta jazz instructors along with professional musicians. Our Atascadero High School Jazz Band entered the event in the advanced category and took first place.
